We have a tradition that once a year we make my mother's delicious homemade spud nuts. It gets really messy but once we are done, we all have stomach aches from eating way too much and burning eyes from the hot oil but it's worth it cause they are so amazingly yummy!

I hate to have to ask, but what oh what are spud nuts? Something made of potato ofcause, but it looks like everyone is eating small doughnuts.
I have never tried them I am sure.
